NorthStar Communications Group Recognized for Outstanding Safety Practices
For Immediate Release. April 20, 2006, Birmingham, Alabama: NorthStar Communications Group, Inc. (NorthStar) has received a prestigious Gold Level Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). The STEP program is a safety self-audit and awards program that recognizes the efforts of ABC members that strive to achieve effective safety practices at their firms. It provides contractors with a tool to objectively evaluate their safety programs, policies, procedures and training.
Each STEP applicant was required to submit safety performance data from the company's 2005 OSHA Form 300A. In addition, applicants completed a self-assessment of twenty key components of safety, such as employer commitment, EMR, substance abuse policy and record keeping.

The STEP award will be presented to NorthStar on Friday, May 19, 2006.
